Grieving the loss of our nephew, Cameron

Cameron Michael BornJanuary 1, 2006 - April 11, 2020

A note from Todd:Two weeks ago, the Western Christian world celebrated Easter Sunday, isolated in their own homes, but united in one Spirit, one heart. For us, this reminder of Christ's Resurrection could not have come at a more acute time. At 3:00am Easter morning, we were awoken to a phone call with the news of the tragic death of my brother’s 14-year-old son in a car accident.Cameron Michael Born was a sweet, gentle, sharp young man. He was kind to all his family, and especially to his siblings and cousins. I loved him more as a little brother than a nephew. As cherished memories have swept through our minds and bitter grief has overwhelmed us, we are reminded of the sweet promise of the resurrection life in Christ for those who trust in Him. This living hope we celebrate has become sweeter, knowing Christ is victorious in conquering our sin and the death it brought.

  • Please pray for my family, especially for Cameron's parents, Eric & Mallory and Shannon & Andrew, as we continue to grieve another significant loss following my father's unexpected death a few months ago.

  • Please pray for Brittany and I as we seek to care for my family so far from home. Pray also for us as we seek to be faithful to continue the ministry God has for us here.

  • In the midst of much mystery, we trust God is working in 10,000 ways to glorify Himself through this tragedy. Please pray with us that God would bring glory to His Name in this.

The LORD is near to the brokenheartedand saves the crushed in spirit.Psalm 34:18
