GO #4

I will counsel you with My loving eye on you (Ps. 32)

I will counsel you with my loving eye upon you Psalm 32:8

Coming to a Close

Only one week left of my 5 month long training school! Since Thanksgiving it time has passed right by me and now I am seeking the Lord on what's next. As I put in my last newsletter I am between two choices:

  • Stay in Atlanta to minister and continue to grow in understanding of the Muslim Arabic culture.

OR

  • Go back to Evansville to minister by equipping the church to go.

With either choice I am in need of a rather flexible job, so that I can work at paying off my student loans before I move overseas and be able to take my vision trip.

My Plan

is still the same:

  1. Work to pay off student debt

  2. Month long vision trip to North Africa and Middle East in early 2017

  3. After vision trip I will begin to raise support for moving overseas long-term

  4. Depart by early 2018

(A wonderful house warming party with 50 people, half of them Afghans)

The Lord continues to grow my heart with a compassion for the nations (especially those with muslim backgrounds) and His Church, to see them delight in Christ and grow into a deep understanding of Him. There is such a need for rich life on life discipleship with the refugees and with those going through training or on staff with Global Frontier Missions. I am so glad the Lord brought me here even if it is just for this time, He has used it as a major time of growth for myself.

I will ask you to join me in

Prayer and Fasting

as part of our

worship

of our gracious sovereign Lord for a few things:

  • For my refugee friends:

    • For Muhammad to continue to be transformed by Christ and his muslim roots undone.

    • For Jamal to overcome his fear of persecution by muslims and have a deep desire to share Jesus with them face to face.

    • Wassem's heart to be softened by the gospel and for his advancement in the english language.

  • For wisdom, discernment, and clarity as I move forward

  • Provision for a job

  • That I abide deeply in the Lord and everything I do would be from Him and for Him.

I give all praise and thanks for you my family, friends, and partakers in the gospel!  Hope to see you all over the Holidays.
