Good News and Good Gifts
Kaleb is doing MUCH better and we're hoping for a Thursday discharge.

Thank you all for praying! Kaleb has improved so much since our last update. He's fever free and back on room air oxygen. The team at Inova has been wonderful in taking careful care of our boy, involving us in their decisions, and working kaleb towards health. God has showered us with gifts during this unexpected delay:
The attending cardiologist that is taking care of Kaleb has been a real gem, who, in the kind providence of God, actually knows and worked with Kaleb's current cardiologist at Boston Children's, so they've been able to coordinate his care.
Some initial concerning numbers in Kaleb's blood labs are all trending in the right direction
Zion and River have loved all this extra cousin time.
Todd and I got to go on an unhurried date last night!
We’ve been able to get a couple nights of uninterrupted sleep (a rare gift)
I got to catch up with a longtime friend who lives in the area this afternoon

I've been noticing a pattern of the goodness of God that blossoms in the good soil of joyful faith. The gifts are almost never what we expect, but they are always good. Even though we're sorely missing having our jolly boy around, we are so thankful he is—once again—in such good care and that we are able to really soak up this respite.

The last concern on the table is Kaleb's hydration. His urine output has been pretty low and they want to try to figure out the reason before they discharge him. After that there's nothing holding him there. So, would you pray with us for a Thursday discharge? We really want to make it to Evansville this weekend so we can spend time with Todd's family, who we haven't seen since we moved to Boston.
Thank you!
