He's Home!

And we're praying fervently that he stays healthy until his surgery.

Kaleb is doing better since getting over his second bout with Covid, however he is proving to be just as extroverted as our other kids and was going a little bit crazy in his isolation room.

Cardiac Anesthesia has no issue with putting him under general anesthesia for surgery (praise the Lord!) however General Surgery wants to wait two weeks from kaleb's last fever to perform surgery. Since that meant at least another week until his surgery, the doctors decided to send him home yesterday until his surgery.

Now we have the daunting job of keeping kaleb sickness free until his surgery, most likely the week of April 14. Trying to keep the kids from not touching him will definitely be the biggest challenge. Would you pray with us that God protects Kaleb from all viruses so that he can have this very needed surgery? The plan is for him to get his GJ tube put in his abdomen, his tongue tie fixed, and a three way scope into his lungs to see if they can gain any insight into why he still needs oxygen. His first night home was pretty rough as he’s developed a good bit of congestion. Pray God strengthens his weak body to fight whatever is going on.

We are most certainly enjoying having our boy home again! Even if it means flipping our life upside down, our hearts definitely feel right side up when he's home.
