July 25 Update

Hello from the Borns!

We're Married!

Just a month ago, on a perfectly cool summer evening, before friends and family, Brittany and I vowed to one another our lives and our love. We tasted of God's goodness in so many ways that day–friends who took photos, parked cars, and set up decorations; delicious pork tacos made by Brittany's mom; peace and joy that filled our hearts; Christ proclaimed in the sermon, singing, and fellowship. For all these things–and more–we are filled with gratefulness.

Today, we are sitting in the Cincinnati airport, waiting to fly to D.C. to authenticate documents, change passports, and say goodbye to family. These days aren't easy–miscommunication, stress, emotions, and weariness make their regular appearances–but they are still filled with the same goodness of God–conflicts being resolved, unexpected memories being made together, faith triumphing over fear, and love overlooking wrongs.

Onward!

Last week, we bought two one-way tickets to Dubai. In just 12 days (on August 6) we will, Lord-willing, board a plane that will take us halfway across the world to a foreign land with one aim: to spread the fame of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. There are precious people in this new city who have not yet heard of the glorious good news of sins freely forgiven and eternal, abundant life in Christ. This unspeakably joyful privilege is the reason we are going! But we know we can't do it alone. We need your continual spiritual and financial support.

Support Update

PRAISE GOD–we are almost fully funded for this amazing journey! We are so grateful for everyone who has generously supported us so far. We only need $400 in monthly commitments to reach our support requirement. Would you consider supporting us monthly? Any amount will help!

Will you pray with us?

• For everything to go smoothly this week as we’re in Washington D.C., authenticating our documents and updating Brittany’s passport.

• Wisdom, peace, and clear communication as we pack, make final preparations, and navigate many decisions over the next few weeks of transition.

• In our interactions with one another, please pray that we would be governed by faith and not fear, humility and not pride, love and not selfishness.

• That we would serve and love our family and friends well as we prepare to leave.

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all, making my prayer with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” Philippians 1:3-5

Grace and Peace,       Todd & Brittany Born
