The Daily Kaleb

Hi friends, we are so very grateful for your care and prayers!

Kaleb did well through the heart cath procedure and is back in his room for more rest and recovery.

The results from the cath lab confirmed what they saw in the ultrasound yesterday:

• A lot of back-flow in the valves.

• Both ventricles showing severe dysfunction. His right ventricle is like an over stretched rubber band from being enlarged and the left ventricle is like a weak muscle trying to deal with new increased load of pressure.

That being said, it is normal post-op to have dysfunction due to his heart trying to adjust these new changes, it is just much slower than they would like to see. But they would rather let Kaleb take the lead and they give him guidance along the way. He might just need a lot of help and a slower, longer time to recover.

The plan going forward is to just give him more rest and recovery while monitoring him closely.
