Update #10: Heart Cath Went Well

Good news,

Kaleb went into the cath lab and came out with no issues. They ran diagnostics on the blood flow and pressures inside of his heart and checked his lungs for pulmonary hypertension. Everything went smoothly.

Main takeaways from the diagnostics:

1. His heart blood pressures between the two ventricles are where they should be: The right ventricle pressure a bit lower than the left ventricle. (This is good news)

2. He currently doesn’t have pulmonary hypertension.

3. They did find that find that he currently has too much blood pressure to his lungs. A this time it is unclear as to why, but it’s possible the medication that was helping his lungs is now to the point where it’s harming. So they plan to stop those medications (nitric oxide being the main one).

Now we wait to hear from the Kaleb’s team to hear what they are thinking for a game plan to repair the two holes in the middle wall of his heart and the leaky valves.

We rejoice in the Lord for how he has cared for Kaleb and for the countless ways he has cared for our souls.

Again we are so very grateful for the ways God has worked through you all as you bear this burden and rejoice with us.

With Love,
