Kaleb was extubated this afternoon, switched to BiPAP and now is on C-PAP and handling it well.
Kaleb remains intubated and under sedation (though they are gradually weaning him off both) and now he is facing other issues.
Thanks to the generosity of a friend I got to spend most of the day today with Kaleb. He is still intubated and sedated, but he had a better day than yesterday.
Kaleb is still intubated and in the CICU.
The surgery took longer than expected, but was successful.
Kaleb's surgery is scheduled for 4pm today (Wednesday)
We are one week away from Kaleb's surgery on April 23 and things are going smoothly so far!
And we're praying fervently that he stays healthy until his surgery.
Kaleb is mostly over this virus and now we wait!
